Hey - nice! How’d you get the new template? Teach me…

Also, I think I’m going to install this on stevewhitaker.net and use it as my blog. I think I’ll change the folder name to “blog” - do you think this will cause any trouble?

I like the RSS feeds (bottom of page) and will subscribe to both entries and comments.

And have you tried categories yet? Looks like there are lots of options on the right when writing new posts.

I’m diggin’ this WordPress gig! You know how so many things seem pretty much the same, then how all of a sudden one product just “clicks” right from the git-go? I was impressed right away by the WordPress experience — starting with the large-size fonts used on the forms! I dig their philosophy, I dig their support materials, and I dig the accessibiltiy and control!

I quickly found the theme files that get downloaded with the install: //wordpress/wp-content/themes/default

There you’ll find all of the php files used to scaffold the themes. If you open …/default/header.php (I used Dreamweaver) you’ll see it calls to a series of image files (…/default/images). I just took each of those “kubrick*” files and reworked them in Fireworks, then saved them as “sonikcycle” files. (remember to revise the calls on the php page!)

It was such fun! Tinkering around in there I felt like a real “web monkey”!

I have edited the categories and the stuff that shows up on the right. Yes…lot’s o’ options!

Wow - okay. I’m impressed. Not only with the initiative you took (I wouldn’t have even thought of that), but also with the technical/design skills you have to design the look of the Sydicate. That’s completely cool!
